They inspire style, but at the same time they bring comfort and practicality, literally hiding from outside views, create comfort, absorbing light, warm and keep "heard" secrets.

Spectacular practicality and comfort are inherent in heavy curtain fabrics that reflect aristocracy and impressiveness, as well as samples of airy fabrics that create a mood of flirtatiousness and playfulness.

There are at least twenty different design styles of curtains that are used in interior decoration and several dozen types of spectacular cascades of draperies that give them an exclusive design. Modern collections of curtain fabrics allow you to express any trends in interior design. And there is a special fabric for each design project. Silk emphasizes the fabulousness of the oriental style, baroque expresses luxurious Damascus, pastoral motifs - curtain fabric with Richelieu embroidery, modern eclecticism - textural materials and graphic drawings. The curtain fabric is able to emphasize antiquity, thanks to the unusual effects of "Venetian plaster", inspire romanticism, thanks to the rich coloring in flowers.

The weight, texture and type of weaving, the ability of light absorption, the possibility of sound insulation, wear resistance, and also unique aesthetic qualities are the main list of properties of curtain fabrics that need to be taken into account when creating a fabric design. And when choosing curtain fabrics, the following points should be taken into account:

Durability. It is known that the sun over time can discolor fabrics such as silk, because this noble material is better to choose for the decor of shaded windows, while they will be an excellent choice for the fabric interior inside the room. Curtain fabrics made of cotton, jacquard, brocade and chintz are least susceptible to fading.

Weaving. Linen, twill, satin and damask are the main types of weaves that are used for curtain fabrics. Most modern fabrics for drapes and curtains are printed linen or twill weave, quite often you can find an interesting mix of satin weave, which is used for the texture of stripes. Damascus is expressively expressed in the patterns.

Interior designers offer some tips on choosing curtain fabrics for interior decoration. First of all, this applies to fabrics for curtains and curtains in the decoration of windows. For example, for windows that are often open, it is recommended to choose heavy fabrics that can be assembled into drapery. Such fabrics and such a design of curtains will protect from possible drafts. High and narrow windows are very appropriate to decorate with a cascade of draperies, or with a translucent fabric that skillfully diffuses light. In such variants, it is very appropriate to use cambric, organza, chiffon and even lace.

In rooms with low ceilings, curtains should be used along the entire height, installing a cornice almost under the ceiling. For such rooms, textured fabrics with a stripe texture, as well as with a similar pattern, are ideal. In large rooms with high ceilings, it is effective to use fabrics with large patterns and embroidery, which are so popular in modern interior fashion.
