Tulles and veils

Tulle, voile, organza

Elite tulle and its even more charming varieties of voile and organza are the creations of French masters. These delicate fabrics are rightfully considered one of the most exquisite, which are good regardless of where they are used – for the decoration of rooms, in clothes, for the decoration of bedding.

Tulle, voile and organza are considered almost ideal fabrics for creating window decor. It is from these delicate delicate materials that flowing curtains and curtains are created, which smoothly fit into draperies and folds.

In fabric design, tulle fabrics are valued for the fact that, thanks to the "transparency", they can be used in multi-layered design projects. In addition, tulle, voile and organza have a unique property of creating airiness and volume, and therefore become a decoration for windows of any size.

Being thin lightweight materials, tulle, voile and organza are perfectly combined with heavy drapes and curtains, creating a harmonious ensemble with fabrics of denser characteristics. Tulle fabrics are also widely used in clothing. They give charm to children's dresses, graceful femininity to women's weekend outfits, create a spectacular entourage for underwear.

Tulle, voile and organza – what are the differences?

Tulle is a cotton, silk, or artificial translucent polyester fabric. It is woven from several systems of threads – from two to three, so it can be smooth or mesh. Voile and organza are a special kind of tulle fabrics, which can also be both natural and artificial. Both types are translucent, while the veil is a very thin, elegant material, organza is characterized by greater density and strength and rigidity.

Given the translucency of these materials, it is worth noting that such fabrics convey the pattern and colors quite bizarrely. For example, monochrome tulle and veils gathered in folds create a monochrome effect, creating smooth transitions of semitones of the same color.

When planning to buy tulle, veils, or organza, designers recommend paying attention to such properties:

  • tulle and voile will allow you to create flowing freely flowing folds, organza – denser, as if frozen draperies
  • tulle, voile and organza will require frequent delicate care during washing, but will not require ironing, they do not accept high temperatures
  • to create particularly spectacular interiors and luxurious outfits, pay attention to modern types of materials with the interweaving of other threads, for example, lurex, as well as options for tulle, voile, or organza with embroidery, which gives the fabrics exclusivity.
